the reception gate ‘aanwijs’ is an important hub in the recreational network of the landscape park ‘bulskampveld’ near bruges. the various routes and lanes come together in a piazza. to emphasize the centrality of this piazza, a reception building is constructed in a central position. logically we designed a circular pavilion that can be installed as a roundabout in the piazza. the pavilion has an open structure and is therefore easily accessible. the opening in the roof lets light in naturally and emphasizes contact with nature.
