this modular sofa was commissioned by the flanders fashion institute. because of the specific architecture of the corner building (the modenatie) and the presence of many pillars, i wanted to find a way to design a sofa that would be easy to integrate in this exhibition space. the solution was a settee, consisting of a basic component with two curving elements (inner and outer bend). they can be connected to twist through the room like a snake.
