when you eat a popsicle and end up with the stick in your hand, you could make a beautiful shape by bending it. the design of spoon is based on this idea and i soon noticed that when i created it life-sized there was a pleasant extra rocking effect. this goes to show that design cannot always come about rationally. experimenting with models often helps me find new ideas. spoon is made from laminated birch and has been present in my living room since many years.
