this assignment, through a competition, contains a complete program of new traffic lights. the challenge is to combine the different and specific demands, in urban as well as rural settings. the result is a modular concept that heightens safety by the possibility to give each lane its own light. dangerous maneuvers will be marked extra: the left turn gets a performing half white screen. by manufacturing the components beforehand, installation time on-site will be limited. moreover, the use of led-technique will also limit maintenance. the choice of the materials and the modular structure of the carrier enables serial production, which results in a considerable cost-cutting per unity. the unified implementation of the design guarantees a peaceful that doesn’t disturb the street scene. the innovative and soft nature of the design contributes to a congenial scene which can reduce aggressive traffic behavior.
